Identifying, engaging and wining the hearts of trade customers and consumers requires different approaches, and I've done both. I'm a 'product person' at heart and my decades of experience in sales & marketing helps navigate the most efficient path for the complex markets we live in.
In my opinion, people buy products, trust brands and value relationships. Having a technical background helps me quickly understand the technology and process behind products. Whether it's a product development process or consumer-centric product management, I understand what's required.
Growing-up with a manufacturing background and specialising in sales & distribution has given me broad experience in manufacturing, warehouse operations and the supply chain. Sales, Inventory & Operations Planning (SIOP) are critical for efficient operation and profitability.
More recently, during COVID-19 I have been able to undertake M&A involving Australian operated businesses as part of a global group. Every acquisition is different , but the most important part is being able to understand and articulate the strategic fit at the outset.
